وَ هَا أًنا ذا أُسْتطِيعُ الكَلامَ عَنِ الحُبِّ

عَنْ شَجَرٍ فِي طَريقٍ يُؤدِّي إلَى هَدف الآخَرين

And here I am

Capable of talking about love

About trees in a road leading to someone else's goal

وَ عَنْ حَالَةِ الجَوِّ في بَلَد الآخَرين

وَ أُهْدي حَمَامَ المدينة حَفْنَةَ قمح

 وأسْمَعُ أصْوَاتَ جيرَاننَا وَ هيَ تَحْفُرُ جلْدي

About the weather in another's country

And pleases these doves

With a bunch of wheat

And listen to my neighbors' voices while they're engraving my skin 

وَ هَا أنا ذا أسْتطيعُ الحَيَاةَ إلى آخِر الشَّهْر

أَبْذُلُ جُهْدي لأكْتُب ما يُقْنعُ القَلْبَ بالنَّبض عِنْدي

وَ مَا يُقْنعُ الروح بالعَيْش بَعْدي

و في وُسْع غارْدينيا أن تُجدّد عُمْري

و في وُسْع امرأة أنْ تُحدّد لَحْدي

And here I am

Capable of living until the end of the month

Do my best to write what convinces my heart to beat for me

And convinces my soul to live after me

For a Gardenia can renew my existence

And a woman can set my burial

وَ هَا أنَذَا أسْتطيعُ الذَّهَاب إلَى آخِر العمر في اثْنَيْن: وَحْدي

وَ وَحْدي

وَ لا أسْتطيع التّواطؤ إلاّ مع الكلماتِ التي لمْ أَقُلها لأفدي مكوثي على حافةِ الأرْض

بين حصَارِ الفضاء و بين جحيم التّرَدّي

سَأحْيَا كما تَشْتَهي لُغتي أنْ أكُون

سَأحْيا بِقُوةِ هَذَا التَّحدّي

And here I am

:Capable of going to the end of my existence in two

Alone

And alone

And other than with words I never dare to utter, I can't collude

To redeem my stay on the edge of the earth

Between the space's siege

And the hell of deterioration

I will live

As my language craves me to be

I will live

Through this force of challenge
